● Pipe thread lathe thread processing
Pipe thread lathe can be made of four kinds of standard thread, such as rice, inch, modulus and diameter. No matter which type of Pipe thread lathe is turning, a strict movement relationship must be maintained between the spindle and the cutter.
That is, the tool should move the lead distance evenly for each turn of the workpiece on the main shaft.
CNC Pipe thread lathe has a series of dimension requirements for thread processing. The required dimension calculation analysis mainly includes the following two aspects:
1.Diameter of workpiece before thread processing
Considering the expansion amount of thread processing teeth, the diameter of the workpiece before threading is D/ d-0.1p, that is, the diameter of thread is reduced by 0.1 pitch.
According to the material deformation ability, it is usually 0.1 to 0.5.
2.Thread processing feed.
The thread added feed can refer to the thread bottom diameter, that is, the end of the thread knife position.
Thread path is: large diameter -2 times tooth height.
Tooth height =0.54P (P is pitch).
The feed amount of thread machining should be reduced continuously, and the specific feed amount should be selected according to the cutter and working material.
Common standard thread is measured by thread ring gauge or plug gauge.
When measuring external threads, if the thread "overside" ring is in good shape, and the "end" ring is not in, then the thread that is processed is in accordance with the requirements, and vice versa.
When measuring internal threads, thread plug is used to measure in the same way.
Other gauges can be measured using other gauges, except for thread ring gauges or plug gauges.
The thread diameter was measured by the thread micrometer caliper, and the thickness of the diameter and the diameter of worm pitch were measured with the thickness of the tooth thickness.

A cutting tool is usually used when pipe thread lathe threading.
When machining large pitch thread, the tool is worn too fast, it will cause large change in thread size and low thread precision.
After many years of experience, we have found a kind of cutting thread on the CNC lathe.
In the processing, when the rough turning insert is worn to the limit, the finish turning insert is changed to the rough tool, and the finish turning tools can be replaced by the new turning insert. This will reduce the cost of turning tools while ensuring the accuracy of thread cutting. The key of this method is the precision of turning tools for rough and fine threads.
1.Operation method
Cutting the end of the workpiece and the outer circle, then measure the outer diameter D, change to rough thread cutting thread.
Specific methods are as follows:
The rough machining tool (T0X00) is used by the hand pulse generator first to the outer circle D after the cutting.
Shake out the workpiece in the direction of the Z axis with the hand pulse generator, and enter the D value (the X-axis of the knife is finished).
Write down the details of the X axis.
Use the hand pulse generator to feed 1 ~ 2mm to the negative direction on the data recorded on the X axis.
Also use the hand pulse generator in the negative direction of the Z axis, cutting tools to the workpiece.Enter Z0 (the z-axis tool setting finish).
Rough thread cutting tool setting finish.
The method for finish thread cutting thread tool setting is same as rough thread cutting thread.This will not create a tangle during the cutting process.Even if there is more cutting tool cutting, it will not cause the phenomenon.
2.Attention
a)The pipe thread lathe tools display different Numbers setting on the X-axis.Make sure to record the actual data of each tool.After exiting the X-axis, the data of the X-axis feed of the thread cutting tool must be the same, no difference.
b)In the process of tool setting, it is recommended that the manual pulse generator should select the feed quantity 0.001mm in the position near the X axis and Z axis of the workpiece.
